A love story between a man who cannot sense anything and a woman with hemophilia

Nam-soon suffers from analgesia, the lack of sensibility to pain, and has no joy in living. He cannot taste the food he eats and feels no pain even with a bloody wound. While living a pitiful life of harming himself, he meets Dong-hyun out on a job to collect money for a private loan shark. But for some reason, Nam-soon can’t get Dong-hyun, who is bold and bright despite her hard life, off his mind.

Nam-soon ends up saving Dong-hyun when she is in danger of being abducted. Later, when she wanders around with nowhere to go, he takes her to his house. Nam-soon, who has always been alone, finds new meaning to life with the bright and cheerful Dong-hyun beside him. Eventually, Dong-hyun finds out that Nam-soon is an analgesia patient and Nam-soon finds out Dong-hyun is fighting hemophilia and needs to take antibiotic injections every day. Their feelings of sympathy and compassion for each other slowly but surely blossom into love.

Then one day, Dong-hyun gets immune to the antibiotics she had been taking and needs a great sum of money for new injections in order to live. Dong-hyun realizes she’s become a heavy burden on Nam-soon and decides to leave…
